I'm not much of a sewer, but I couldn't pass up this really nice Kingston sewing machine I spotted at Savers on Warm Springs.
Kingston isn't a well-known maker of sewing machines, but I believe they are in some way associated with the maker Brother. This model is a Window-matic Precision, and it's still in wonderful condition. It weighs a ton and everything still seems to be working well on the machine. Plus, it's an awesome shade of blue!

Why didn't you have this when I was working at Trump and needed to sew my pants once a week!
Want. Kindly send it to SoCal! I wonder if it would stay in my trunk like the sewing machine I bought off craigslist 5 years ago? Sigh.
I have been sewing on this same machine for 50 years, it was originally my mother's. I remember my mother saying it was "really" a Brother, but was less expensive under the Kingston name because built in China (at the time seen as a negative, goods from China were perceived as flimsy and cheap.) Do you have the owner's manual? I have everything but that...
How much is this machine worth. I got 1 just like this but mine is in a table. It is in very good condition and works great
Anyone know how to find the model of a machine like this? Kingston Vintage
I have this exact machine that was inherited from my mother-in-law. I'm not sure when she bought it or if it was new or used. She was born in 1908 and died in 1998. I know she was making quilts for her own beds that had cotton batting inside during the 1970's. It still runs like a champ. She also said it was a Brother machine but under a different name and cheaper. The little Window Matic emblem says made in Japan. But the electric motor says made in the USA. It has all metal works, no plastic and is very heavy. I too am curious about what the price is for this machine now. However, I'm not interested in selling.
